ICF Mentoring for Coaches
Strengthen your coaching. Prepare with confidence. Earn your credential.
Whether you're working towards your first ICF credential or preparing to renew or upgrade, mentor coaching gives you the structured feedback and reflective space you need to deepen your practice and meet ICF requirements with confidence.
I offer individual mentor coaching for coaches at all stages of the credentialing journey, from ACC through to PCC, grounded in the ICF Core Competencies and delivered with the warmth, directness, and care that I bring to all my work.
Who This Is For
- Coaches pursuing their ACC credential who need to complete mentor coaching hours as part of their initial application.
- Coaches upgrading from ACC to PCC who are ready to deepen their practice and demonstrate PCC-level competence.
- Coaches renewing their ACC or PCC credential who need mentor coaching hours for renewal.
If you've completed (or are completing) your coach-specific education hours and are building your coaching experience, this programme will help you bridge the gap between where you are now and the credential level you're working towards.
My Approach to Mentor Coaching
I believe that when we invest in the development of coaches, we strengthen the quality and integrity of every coaching conversation that follows. That belief sits at the heart of how I approach mentor coaching.
My style is warm, honest, and evidence-based. I'll give you clear, compassionate feedback on your coaching and create a space where you feel safe to reflect, experiment, and grow. I won't just help you tick the boxes for credentialing; I'll help you genuinely develop as a coach.
Each session is structured around the ICF Core Competencies, with particular attention to the behaviours and indicators that distinguish coaching at your target credential level. We'll work with recordings of your real coaching sessions, use reflective practice, and focus on targeted skill development so you build both competence and confidence.
What We Cover
Mentor coaching is grounded in the ICF Core Competencies - the same framework your coaching will be assessed against for credentialing. Rather than working through them as a checklist, we explore each competency through the lens of your real coaching sessions, so the learning is always connected to your actual practice.
The four competency domains we work across are:
- Foundation: Demonstrates Ethical Practice and Embodies a Coaching Mindset
- Co-Creating the Relationship: Establishes and Maintains Agreements, Cultivates Trust and Safety, and Maintains Presence
- Communicating Effectively: Listens Actively and Evokes Awareness
- Cultivating Learning and Growth: Facilitates Client Growth
Throughout the programme, you'll build a deeper understanding of what each competency looks and sounds like in practice - and what distinguishes coaching at your target credential level.

Why Work With Me
I hold the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential with the International Coaching Federation and have accumulated over 900 hours of coaching experience working with leaders across the Australian Public Service, Defence, higher education, and not-for-profit sectors.
I also serve as President of ICF Australasia, the charter chapter for Australia and New Zealand, which keeps me deeply connected to the global coaching profession and committed to the highest standards of ethical practice.
One of the things I love most about my work is mentoring and supporting coaches as they grow. Helping coaches develop their skills and confidence is genuinely one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
Important Information
ICF timing requirements: Mentor coaching must occur over a minimum three-month period. Please allow enough time before your renewal or application deadline.
Your responsibilities: Check the ICF requirements for mentor coaching at your credential level and for your specific needs. Information on this page is provided as a guide.
Recordings: You will need to provide a recording and a transcript for each debrief assessment session. The timing of these is flexible and will be discussed in your first session.
No guaranteed outcomes: While I will assess your coaching against the relevant competency markers and share my professional opinion, I cannot guarantee the outcome of any ICF Performance Evaluation or credentialing decision.
Confidentiality: The mentor coaching relationship is confidential, unless you disclose something where I have a duty of care to act, in which case I will discuss this with you first.
Feedback: Mentor coaching is a developmental process, and honest feedback on your coaching is a central part of how we work together. Some of that feedback may stretch you or challenge your thinking. I ask that you come to the programme with curiosity and a genuine willingness to grow. For my part, I will always deliver feedback with care, respect, and your development at heart.
Cancellations: Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will be counted as completed, which may mean you need to purchase an additional session to meet your specific mentoring hour requirements. Extenuating circumstances will always be considered. The programme is non-refundable once commenced, though sessions may be rescheduled by mutual agreement.
Credit: Unused sessions will be held in credit for 12 months from the date of payment. Sessions are not transferable to other services unless agreed.
